Stocked and maintained by the owner and her wife, The Rose Thorn Tavern has a variety of dishes. While the owner is no master culinarian they will be happy to serve you if no other staff are present.
(If Deirdre is preparing your food or drink, she will sometimes roll a d20 to determine the outcome. This does not apply to unmixed drinks.)As part of your meal service, the owner can provide a tome from her personal collection for you to peruse while you dine. If you fall in love with a particular book she'll be happy to point you to a vendor.While they do not appear on the menu proper, Tea and Coffee are both available, as is any liquor product used to make the cocktails on the menu if you desire it straight or on the rocks.The Rose Thorn Tavern does not engage in game-item trade, nor does it charge for food and drink. Wood oven pizza with fermented dough, made fresh in house .

Fresh cut popotoes deep fried and smothered in your choice of chocobo or mushroom gravy and cheese curds.
Batter fried chocobo thigh meat lightly glazed in a sweet soy sauce served on a bed of rice with green and red onions, and cucumber slices.
Thick juicy blueberries loaded into a stack of pancakes, resting atop a bed of golden fried hash browns, and absolutely glazed in maple syrup, just like a dusky melting over a pile of Lalafell.
Tender beef and onion slices cooked in a sweet and savory sauce over a bed of rice and topped with pickled ginger. (Optional: Poached Egg & Mushrooms)
Tender pork loin breaded in panko and deep fried to perfection. Served with a sweet\tangy sauce, Hingan Mayo, and a bowl of rice.
Half a loaf of locally baked sourdough, accompanied by a bowl of melted butter, and a simple beef soup made of lightly seasoned broth.
*Can sub in vegetable broth.
Shatteringly-crisp marinated and double-dredged chocobo, Hingan Mayo, and Dijon Mustard between a Brioche bun.

This mocktail is like a sweeter Bloody Marie, made of tomato and pineapple juice, a sprinkling of salt and pepper, and a handful of finely chopped mint all shaken up and served on the rocks. If you want it extra blushing, booze it up with a shot of Mezcal.
South Seas rum is muddled with the hulls of squeezed limes, clove, cinnamon, coconut water and unrefined sugar. Strained over crushed ice and garnished with apple slices for a sweet (and disarmingly boozy) experience.

Stout: Dark as night, this cousin of ale is creamy and rich in flavour, made with unmalted roast barley.
A milky sweet tea in the hingan style, filled with pearls made of sugar and tapioca starch. As sweet and bubbly as the girl it's named after.
A layered drink made of lemon infused apple cider, with red wine and foaming bitters floating on top, and a single slice of lemon for garnish.

Beef broth, lemon juice, black pepper, Worcestershire, and Tabasco sauce, topped off with a shot of vodka, this cocktail is like drinking a boozey beef soup. Served warm, it's sure to get your blood flowing quick when you come in out of the cold.

The Rose Thorn baths are open to all, and the only dress code is that you cannot wear typical clothing in the waters. The dust of your travels need not follow you into the tub after all.
The changing area doubles as a shower and it is encouraged that all patrons make use of it before entering the tubs. Lockers are also provided for the security of patrons belongings.

A somewhat reserved man, the Hingan mutant found himself wrangled by Aiai, and eventually enticed into employment under Deirdre. The touch-crass, but well-meaning old crocodile happily puts fifteen years of professional culinary experience to work - both for the joy of the customers, and the sake of his fellow employees.
A spunky Lalafell Dei met through her old job, Kahla was one of the first people she thought to bring on staff when she started up the Rose.
Six sees working at Rose Thorn as a learning opportunity - one she takes very seriously. From drink-making and cooking food to socializing with all manner of patrons, she is slowly acclimating to Eorzean social customs, often through red cheeks and stammered words.
Once a seafaring ship captain, forever at home at sea, Aiai comes in to give Dei a hand whenever it's needed. Quick to laugh and quicker to flirt, the feisty bluenette can sling together a cocktail with ease - just don't ask her to make food.
Despite not being able to cook worth a damn, and only slinging drinks as a hobby at best, Dante's close relationship with some of the staff has netted him an unexpected job at the Rose Thorn. He may come off as a bit prickly, but he truly does care for his co-workers and the patronage of the tavern.
Many faces have come and gone behind the bar - here are some of the ones we don't get to see as often these days but still hold a spot in our hearts for.
Though life keeps the enigmatic Fae Dusky away from the Tavern, we still love her and wouldn't be where we are today without her.
Original Entry: One night on a trip to the baths Xilly crossed paths with Deirdre and Aiaiyo. They happened to mention just needing a dedicated bartender and the Duskwight thought "Why Not?" The rest will go down in the anals of history ..... is there a second N?
