Welcome to the Rose Thorn Tavern, an 18+ Bathhouse & Bar nestled away in the wintery land of Ishgard. Come in from the cold and enjoy a drink among friends, a meal among myriad tomes, or a soak in the blessedly hot baths below. Whatever your story, and wherever you're from, all are welcome at the Rose Thorn.

Kitchen & Bar
Stocked and maintained by the owner and her wife, The Rose Thorn Tavern has a variety of dishes. While the owner is no master culinarian they will be happy to serve you if no other staff are present.
(If Deirdre is preparing your food or drink, she will sometimes roll a d20 to determine the outcome. This does not apply to unmixed drinks.)As part of your meal service, the owner can provide a tome from her personal collection for you to peruse while you dine. If you fall in love with a particular book she'll be happy to point you to a vendor.While they do not appear on the menu proper, Tea and Coffee are both available, as is any liquor product used to make the cocktails on the menu if you desire it straight or on the rocks.The Rose Thorn Tavern does not engage in game-item trade, nor does it charge for food and drink. Wood oven pizza with fermented dough, made fresh in house .

Fresh cut popotoes deep fried and smothered in your choice of chocobo or mushroom gravy and cheese curds.
Batter fried chocobo thigh meat lightly glazed in a sweet soy sauce served on a bed of rice with green and red onions, and cucumber slices.
Thick juicy blueberries loaded into a stack of pancakes, resting atop a bed of golden fried hash browns, and absolutely glazed in maple syrup, just like a dusky melting over a pile of Lalafell.
Tender beef and onion slices cooked in a sweet and savory sauce over a bed of rice and topped with pickled ginger. (Optional: Poached Egg & Mushrooms)
Tender pork loin breaded in panko and deep fried to perfection. Served with a sweet\tangy sauce, Hingan Mayo, and a bowl of rice.
Half a loaf of locally baked sourdough, accompanied by a bowl of melted butter, and a simple beef soup made of lightly seasoned broth.

Ishgardian Red from a local vinyard. The owner's drink of choice.
La Noscean White straight from Wineport.
Bourbon or Rye with a few dashes of bitters, a spoonful of water and some sugar, garnished with an orange twist. Optionally on the rocks.
A Turali beverage made of fermented maguey. It is smokey with subtle hints of citrus and vanilla.
3 shots of vodka in a glass of fizzy lemon soda. Named for a beloved busker who comes by now and again.
Tequila, coconut cream, lime juice, triple-sec, and agave syrup make for a creamy margarita...why Aiyo's bath water might be creamy is perhaps best left a mystery though.
This mocktail is like a sweeter Bloody Marie, made of tomato and pineapple juice, a sprinkling of salt and pepper, and a handful of finely chopped mint all shaken up and served on the rocks. If you want it extra blushing, booze it up with a shot of Mezcal.

A mocha milkshake made with coffee liquor, chocolate vodka, and vanilla icecream, topped with chocolate infused whipped cream and light roast coffee beans.
A variety of beers sourced from the ports of Limsa Lominsa:
Pale Ale: A light gold, hoppy malt beer.
Red Ale: Sweeter and not as hoppy as the Pale Ale.
Stout: Dark as night, this cousin of ale is creamy and rich in flavour, made with unmalted roast barley.
A milky sweet tea in the hingan style, filled with pearls made of sugar and tapioca starch. As sweet and bubbly as the girl it's named after.
The beloved busker came out of the john one night with this in a glass. He says it's lemon cider, but we've never known for sure.
Weishi's Water, where the lemon soda has been replaced with Weishi's Piss. For when walking straight is just unacceptable behaviour.
Beef broth, lemon juice, black pepper, Worcestershire, and Tabasco sauce, topped off with a shot of vodka, this cocktail is like drinking a boozey beef soup. Served warm, it's sure to get your blood flowing quick when you come in out of the cold.
Ruby's Lullaby: The feeling of coming in from the cold distilled into liquid form.
Popped Cherry: Made with cherries and sage, this mead is sweet and just a little savory.

Bathhouse
The Rose Thorn baths are open to all, and the only dress code is that you cannot wear typical clothing in the waters. The dust of your travels need not follow you into the tub after all.
The changing area doubles as a shower and it is encouraged that all patrons make use of it before entering the tubs. Lockers are also provided for the security of patrons belongings.

• Rose Thorn is a venue for Adults, and as such adult things happen here. ERP is allowed in public, but remember: Not everyone shares your kinks. We encourage kink-heavy play to be taken into /tells or party chat.• The Rose Thorn is an LGBTQIA+ space. Discrimination is not tolerated.• Lalafell are Adults. This is not up for debate.• While RP conflict is okay in moderation, disrespect of the staff or patrons is not. Deirdre Wilde
Owner and Manager, Deirdre is a lover of books and of people. Passionate and flirty, she's not afraid to speak her mind or try something new. When serving customers she does her best, but she's no master culinarian and can sometimes mess up an order.
Personal Carrd

Aiai shows up to work the bar whenever she's on dry land and Deirdre needs a hand. Quick to laugh and quicker to flirt, the fiesty bluenette can sling together a cocktail with ease - just don't ask her to make food.
Oblivion Weishi
A Wandering Busker who settles in the tavern from time to time, Oblivion Weishi, more casually known as 'Bliv' is the Flirtatious Scartender of the Rose Thorn, happy to strike up a conversation and willing to woo a person at a moments notice.
Kahla Vuiro
A spunky Lalafell Dei met through her old job, Kahla was one of the first people she thought to bring on staff when she started up the Rose.
Celestia Vonluna
The waitress from another realm, crossed this tavern to visit a friend, and now she's here to make sure every guest feels as welcome as can be.

One night on a trip to the baths Xilly crossed paths with Deirdre and Aiaiyo. They happened to mention just needing a dedicated bartender and the Duskwight thought " Why Not" The rest will go down in the anals of history ..... is there a second N?
Six Woods
Six sees working at Rose Thorn as a learning opportunity - one she takes very seriously. From drink-making and cooking food to socializing with all manner of patrons, she is slowly acclimating to Eorzean social customs, often through red cheeks and stammered words
